The route passes through notable sites such as Cidacos Park, the Perdiguero reservoir, Monte de los Agudos, the Las Conchas meadow, the Roman Dam and La Degollada, as well as several vantage points offering panoramic views of Calahorra and the region’s characteristic landscapes.
Flora
The vegetation along the route consists of species typical of riverine and Mediterranean environments, notably poplars, tamarisk, willows and Aleppo pines. Vineyards, almond trees and fruit trees are also common, as are species typical of wet and saline areas such as the orzaga, common reed, cattail, albardín and sosa.
Fauna
The fauna found along the route is diverse and is associated with both aquatic environments and agricultural and woodland areas. Among the most characteristic birds are the kingfisher, the white stork, the osprey, ducks, coots, mallards, grebes, herons, owls, thrushes and stonechats. In the watercourses, species such as tench, eels, barbel and crayfish can be found. Among the mammals, wild boar, rabbits, roe deer and foxes are particularly notable.
