The estimated walking time is 2 hours 6 minutes, making it an accessible option for enjoying the landscape and biodiversity of the Calahorra area.
The route follows the banks of the Cidacos and Ebro rivers, passing through natural areas of great environmental interest where you can observe the rich landscape and the diversity of species characteristic of riverine ecosystems.
Flora
The vegetation along the route consists mainly of species typical of riverbanks, such as poplars, aspens, tamarisk and willows. Alongside these natural formations, there are also extensive areas of vegetable crops that form part of the traditional landscape of the river plain.
Fauna
The fauna associated with the route is particularly rich due to the presence of the Cidacos and Ebro rivers. Among the most characteristic birds are the kingfisher, the white stork, the osprey, herons, ducks, coots, mallards, grebes, owls and thrushes. The river waters are home to species such as the European bullhead, barbel, crayfish, carp, pike, dace and catfish. Among the mammals found in the area are wild boars, rabbits, otters, European minks, foxes and genets.
